Aduana Stars needed a second-half goal from Yahaya Mohammed to save a point at home to Techiman Eleven Wonders in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The forward’s second goal of the season nullified Samuel Boakye’s first goal for Eleven Wonders when the match ended 1-1 at Nana Agyemang Badu II Stadium.
Customs entered the game seeking their first win of the season, having failed in three attempts.
But they fell behind in the first eight minutes as a result of a bad start. Boakye was in the right place and was not wrong in giving the lead to the visiting team.
Customs took control of the game after conceding, but had to wait until the 72nd minute when Yahaya scored the equalizer.
Encouraged by the goal, Aduana pushed the men towards the winning goal, but Wonders was determined at the rear to take a point home.
The draw means that Aduana, favorite for the title, has added only three points out of 12 possible and in the relegation zone.
While Eleven Wonders are in the upper half of the table with six points.
