The presidential candidate of the Ghana Trade Union Movement (GUM), Reverend Christian Kwabena Andrews, also known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom, advised former President John Dramani Maham to go to court to challenge the results of the presidential elections if he believes they have been manipulated.
The reverend minister said there is no other solution the candidate can explore other than going to court.
He said the agitations and disagreements from the two main parties will be nothing.
The best solution, he emphasized, is for the NDC to use the court to challenge the results.
Former President John Dramani Mahama has clearly stated that the government used the Electoral Commission (EC) to manipulate the results in favor of current President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
For this reason, Mr. Mahama said that the party will not accept anything that is not the true reflection of the votes of the people.
He said there is no doubt that Ghanaians in all regions voted for the change in both the parliamentary and presidential elections.
“I stand before you tonight without wanting to accept the fictitious outcome of a flawed election.”
He added: “There is no question that all Ghanaians in this country voted for change. We did it in both the presidential and parliamentary elections.
“I am a firm believer in the experiment of democracy, a system of government that allows final decision-making power to rest in the hands of you, the good people of Ghana. We, the people who with our eyes set on the future will like us for our beloved country, elect representatives to move forward and make that vision a reality. The government serves the election and direction of the people of this great nation. “
