Senegal has been crowned FIFA’s best African team of the year for the fourth time in a row in the latest world rankings released Thursday by the world soccer governing body, he said.
Senegal emerged stronger after rising to 20th place.
The rankings are the latest update this year from FIFA.
Tunisia and Algeria, African champions, complete the podium of the best continental teams.
And thanks to Morocco, Nigeria, Egypt and Cameroon, Africa closes 2020 with seven representatives in the World Top 50, one more than last year.
Burundi climbed +13 places to register the best world progression of the year, while FIFA also highlighted the progress of Equatorial Guinea (134th) and Comoros, 130th onwards to qualify for the first CAN in their history.
