Fake news
5. The NESTF saw old videos in circulation, portrayed as incidents related to the ongoing electoral exercise. The videos included regional police simulation exercises in the run-up to this year’s elections, where the media were invited to cover as part of the police engagement with the media, as key stakeholders in Ghana’s democracy.
6. Once again, NESTF condemns these postings and advises that it is against the law for anyone to send false or misleading communications. Anyone who indulges in it will be arrested and prosecuted.
7. NESTF continues to urge the public to calm down during this waiting period for the results to be declared by the Electoral Commission.
