The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) has called on the two main parties in the December 7 elections to desist from acts that are likely to discredit the election results.

A letter issued by the Secretary General of the National Executive Council, Rev. Emmanuel Teimah Barrigah on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 said: “To the two main political parties, NPP and NDC, we call on your leadership to immediately stop the press. conferences, indictments and counter-accusations and allow the Electoral Commission the space and tranquility to deliver credible, transparent and acceptable results to Ghanaians. “
The letter praised the Election Commission and security agencies for ensuring a peaceful electoral process and urged Ghanaians to remain calm and wait patiently for the Election Commission to declare the final results.
He also called on the media to be reminded of their fourth kingdom status and to behave in a way that does not endanger the security of the state.
He went further to congratulate Ghanaians for participating and generally behaving peacefully in the elections just ended.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE WINNERS ON THE SUCCESSFUL GENERAL ELECTION AND WE CALL FOR CALM BEFORE THE FINAL DECLARATION.
The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) wishes to congratulate all Ghanaians for having participated and generally led in a peaceful manner during the recently concluded presidential and parliamentary elections.
However, we are concerned about the isolated incidents of shooting and violence reported in some collection centers across the country, such as Techiman South, Odododiodio, Ewutu Senya East, Tarkwa Nsuaem and a few other constituencies during the process, despite the situation. generalized. peaceful nature of the process.
While commending the Election Commission and the security agencies for managing such a peaceful process to date, the Council wishes to remind them of its solemn commitment to the good people of Ghana to conduct peaceful, credible and transparent elections that are acceptable to everyone in a safe and peaceful environment.
We especially wish to remind the security agencies that their commitment is to the people of Ghana and not to any political party or individual and, as such, we must be aware of this commitment ensuring that this constitutional mandate to protect citizens is upheld. solemnly at all times.
The alleged involvement of some state security personnel in Techiman and other places as shown in some media platforms is worrying and should be condemned by all if it is confirmed to be true.
We ask all Ghanaians to remain calm and abide by the law, as we patiently await the final declaration of the results of the Election Commission.
Stay away from all possible hot spots and avoid violence as we only have one country called Ghana to live in.
