The secretary general of the Democratic National Congress has announced that, according to the results of the Democratic National Congress, the party leads the presidential and parliamentary elections.

According to Johnson Asiedu Nketia, although the Election Commission is deliberately delaying the announcement of certified results, John Dramani Mahama is expected to win the presidential election.

At a press conference at NDC headquarters, the Electoral Commission said “by Wednesday, John Dramani would have been declared president of the Republic of Ghana.”

In a previous press conference, the NDC expressed concern about what it says is an unprecedented delay in the arrival of certified election results from the Regional Matching Centers to the National Matching Center.

The National Matching Center is where Regulatory Officials officially declare the final certified results of the regional matching center elections.

Elections Director Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah said that at 9 a.m. not a single result reached the Election Commission’s strong hall, even though the commission has said it will declare the final election results at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

“What’s going on? No results have reached the National Collation Center. This is unprecedented. Beyond that, at the regional level, even while we were here, the results of the constituency are being declared, and yet the results they don’t come to the regional EC offices and yet our people are there at the regional collection center, waiting for the results. So what processes are they going to go through? It’s important that they go through the process. Go and check this yourselves, ”he said.
