The director of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), Dr. Prince Hamid Armah, won Kwesimintim’s position on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) list.

Prince Hamid got 24,785 of the votes, while his closest contender, Philip Buckman, got 13,409 votes.

Meanwhile, the opposition Democratic National Congress has regained Akwatia’s parliamentary seat from the ruling New Patriotic Party.

Henry Yiadom-Boachie, a 51-year-old businessman, aka Okoyo of the NDC, defeated his only contender, Enerst Kumi, of the NPP, with 19,899 votes to 18,742 for the latter to regain the NDC seat.

In 2016, a Profession-Mercy hairdresser Adu Gyamfi Bello, popularly known as Ama Sey, defeated then-Member of Parliament Baba Jamal Ahmed to become a deputy.
