The widow of the late National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Tempane electoral district in the Upper East region, Ms. Lydia Akanvariba Adakudugu, has defeated Deputy Attorney General Joseph Dindiok Kpemka.
Hon Kpemka, who was until Monday, December 7, 2020, the titular Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, obtained 16,461 votes that represent 44.01% against 20,939; which represents 55.99%.
Mrs. Lydia Akanvariba Adakudugu in February of this year replaced her husband, H.E. David Adakudugu, who died under mysterious circumstances after winning the primary.
