Elvis Afriyie Ankrah – NDC Director of Elections
The Democratic National Congress (NDC) has accused the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of allegedly filling the polls with thumb-printed ballots, allegedly in favor of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The NDC Elections Director, Mr. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, in a press conference on Monday afternoon, alleged that such ballot filling occurred in Ejisu in the Ashanti region, Circle in Accra and Bimbilla in the north.
He alleged that a certain PNP constituency president was in charge of the alleged filling in of the ballots.
The NDC Director of Elections also alleged that security agencies did not intentionally deploy many security officers to regions such as the Ashanti Region to undermine the process.
Intelligence
Mr. Ankrah also claimed that the NDC had collected intelligence information that allegedly indicated that the police had been ordered not to escort the ballot boxes to the collation centers.
He called on NDC supporters and Ghanaians in general to be vigilant and follow the polls to make sure they are not moderated before reaching the collection centers.
