Mr. James Agalga, Member of Parliament (MP) for Builsa North, has indicated that MASLOC will change its name to improve operations and selectivity of beneficiaries when the NDC comes to power.

Mr. Agalga said that MASLOC did not have adequate legislation governing its operations and therefore it is necessary to prevent the selectivity and discrimination that applicants often experience and added that the NDC manifesto has included initiatives in its manifesto to implement , among other things, to improve MASLOC interventions.

The former high-ranking member, Defense and Interior, said in an interview with the GNA in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region about some of his achievements in the Builsa Norte constituency.

He said that in the past he was instrumental in getting MASLOC to help women in his area to access credit that some beneficiaries were able to use to improve their businesses, however, according to him, all attempts now to get more help have failed, worsening the conditions of women in the district.

She said that she had supported women’s groups with projects to install structures for storing their products personally.

Speaking about his vision for the constituency, he said, his plans fit into the NDC manifesto and indicated that when the party comes to power, it will implement initiatives that will continue to improve the lives of Ghanaians and specifically the people. from Builsa Norte.

In education, the MP said that it made a lot of progress in the infrastructure area in terms of classroom blocks of which some of them are underway, adding that Getfund implemented a series of projects to improve teaching and learning.

Mr. Agalga indicated that he had instituted mock annual exams for Basic schools and helped needy but bright students by paying GH ¢ 90,000 to pay fees at the tertiary level and added that a scholarship plan is being implemented for high school students who passed with distinction. implemented.

“People need quality representation in Parliament and I am committed to providing the best for the people, so the people must have a voice in Parliament.” He said.

In the areas of Agriculture, he pointed out that his party had done a lot and indicated that the flagship program of the 1V1D nuclear power plant promised to open up dry season agriculture in the north and stressed that they were more like excavations that could not help anyone in the north .

“The NDC built giant irrigation dams equipped with canals in Kori and Wega that connect areas of irrigated land on 100 hectares each and completely fenced off, which involved young people and reduced migration when most of them go south. looking for unavailable jobs ”. Mr. Agalga indicated.

He said that those dams had transformed the lives of people in the area and was sad that the current dams under the PNP were nothing to write home about and reiterated that when the NDC returns to power, those large dams will increase.

He stated that most of the projects implemented in his constituency cost a minimal amount of money because he made sure to involve communities and partners to own and directly participate in the implementation and helped by providing the material for the community itself to put up. the structure.

“I had 30 percent of the common fund while the assembly controlled 70 percent and I indicated that its performance and the projections pursued surpassed the whole in terms of infrastructure,” he said.
