Chelsea continued their good form by beating Leeds 3-1 to move to the top of the Premier League.

Goals in the second half from Kurt Zouma and Olivier Giroud sealed the victory for Frank Lampard’s, taking them one point ahead of Tottenham and Liverpool.

Here’s how each player scored in the clash at Stamford Bridge:

Chelsea (4-3-3)

Edouard Mendy – 7

He sent only his second league goal in seven Premier League appearances this season.

Reece James – 7

The England defender capped off a good night by providing a revealing low center for his team’s draw.

Kurt Zouma – 8

He underscored his aerial threat by leading Chelsea to the front to seal a good night’s work for the Frenchman.

Thiago Silva – 7

He returned to the back four to provide a calm presence and a calming influence on possession.

Ben Chilwell – 7

The England winger had a lot of work with Leeds winger Raphinha, but he managed well.

Kai Havertz – 5

The German’s significant anonymity spells were interspersed with the occasional flashy intervention.

N’Golo Kante – 8

Always available to end the danger and quickly launch your side in another counter-offensive.

Mason assembly – 6

Clean and orderly with the ball, the midfielder’s set pieces delivery was a constant threat.

Hakim Ziyech – 5

He succumbed to an early thigh injury before he had a chance to impress.

Olivier Giroud – 8

He restored Frank Lampard’s faith and has now scored in his last six Premier League starts.

Timo Werner – 6

He came up with an early contender to lose the season virtually under the bar.

Subs:

Christian Pulisic (for Ziyech 30,) – 7

Mateo Kovacic (by Havertz, 67) – 6

Tammy Abraham (by Giroud, 79) – 6

Unused subs: Kepa, Rudiger, Azpilicueta, Jorginho.

Leeds (4-1-4-1)

Illan Meslier – 7

Lucky not to be punished for erratic timing, but he did make some good saves.

Luke Ayling – 7

Solid on defense and a key component of Leeds’ fluid counterattacks on the right.

Robin Koch – 5

He limped early when the gamble to play the injured defender didn’t pay off.

Liam Cooper – 6

Reassuring calm at the heart of the Leeds defense in contrast to an erratic cameo by Diego Llorente alongside the skipper.

Stuart Dallas – 7

He rarely gets a bad shift and this impressive 90-minute period was no exception.

Kalvin Phillips – 8

The England midfielder underscored his quality by providing a sumptuous pass for Patrick Bamford’s first goal.

Raphinha – 6

The winger was cool in possession and always a threat cutting from the right to his left foot.

Mat Klich – 7

I went through a lot of unexpected work in the engine room to help keep Leeds running.

Ezgjan Alioski – 7

He displayed a deft ability to turn offense defense into another display of hard work.

Jack Harrison – 4

He couldn’t make enough regular forays down Leeds’s left to be happy with his performance.

Patrick Bamford – 8

He insisted that it was one more match against his former club, but his eighth goal of the season will be one of the most special.
