Eden Hazard has returned from a spell on the sideline with a fractured ankle, and turned up for work on Monday when Real Madrid resumed training before the possible resumption of the 2019-20 campaign next month.
Hazard suffered the injury during a 1-0 loss to Levante on February 22, and was forced to undergo surgery just before the season was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The 29-year-old has been following a strict rehabilitation program while in quarantine, and the Madrid players were forced to comply with social distancing rules amid a national blockade in Spain.
Belgium boss Roberto Martinez revealed that Hazard was almost ready to start running again when he issued an update on the winger’s progress last month, after initial fears that he could be out of action for at least four months.
He has progressed even further since then, and was photographed taking part in a training session with the rest of his Madrid colleagues earlier in the week.

Madrid welcomed all players and staff to Santiago Bernabeu last Wednesday for medical evaluations, and La Liga officials plan to restart the season in June.
Zinedine Zidane’s men ranked second in the Spanish top flight before the game stopped in March, two points behind defending champion Barcelona with 11 games remaining.
Hazard has only appeared in 10 La Liga matches for Madrid this season, scoring once, with many questions about his form and fitness since last summer’s € 100m (£ 88m / $ 108m) transfer from Chelsea.
The Belgian international admitted that his first year at the Bernabéu was a disappointment shortly after being cut by injury, but promised to return in “good shape” after a frustrating period of “adaptation.”
