Bribery: the video was recorded in October 2016 – Kweku Baako

The editor-in-chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, says that the video circulating on social media alleging bribes against President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was recorded in October 2016.

Said it was recorded by Salis Yakubu Atsuluwo, at a time when President Akufo-Addo was campaigning to become president in the 2016 elections.

He indicated that the money was offered as part of the political party’s campaign support.

Speaking in Accra based Peace FM’s Kookrokoo morning show on Wednesday [Watch video below from 1:41:20 onwards]Mr. Baako said that Salis Yakubu used to work with Anas Aremeyaw Anas Principal Investigator Tiger Eye, but has since parted ways with Anas.

He said that Salis was unaware that the original video was available to us. [Kweku Baako and others] “So we published it to expose its manipulation,” he said.

Baako, who said that some aspects of the problem were related to his [Baako’s] case with Kennedy Agyapong in court, as well as that of Anas Aremeyaw Anas versus Kennedy Agyapong in court insisted that he cannot go into details due to the court case.
