Borrowing Shakespeare’s observation on one of the realities of the human condition to describe JD Mahama’s unstate behaviors in Ghanaian politics since he lost the presidency in 2016, one may be tempted to say that former President Mahama walks by. the country and “travels the narrow world [Ghana] like a colossus, and we mean [people]… Find us dishonorable graves. [Some people] at some point they own their destiny. ”
This is one of the main reasons why on December 7, 2020, all reasonable Ghanaians must ensure that Mr. JD Mahama and his clever politics of division, tribalism, violence, lies, confusion, incoherent public speeches, propaganda , manipulation, incompetence, and a sense of entitlement to the presidency, are thrown away from history. The 2020 presidential election must be a rude awakening moment for former President Mahama, drunk on power.
Indeed, next December 7th should be the day that Ghanaians of goodwill must finally sign JDM’s political obituary certificate with a simple but enduring message that “Mr. JD Mahama, enough is enough, we are fully aware of your capabilities as a former president, just retreat into political oblivion for the sake of the future prospects of your own NDC party and, more importantly, the progress of Ghana.
Ghanaians must understand that Mr. Mahama has no sustainable plans for Ghana except to allow “anything goes culture”. We need to understand as people that we create our own individual circumstances, but often many of us blame others for our ambivalences or shortcomings. What else can former President Mahama offer Ghanaians besides when he was president? So, in the presidential election on December 7, 2020, the unfortunate “destinies” that Shakespeare rightly observed centuries ago will be on full display around many brothers and sisters in Ghana hell-bent on voting, for whatever reason (s), for lack of vision, backwardness and clueless leadership exemplified by Mr. JD Mahama when he was in power and even as the main opposition leader.
The former president-turned-standard-bearer of the opposition NDC party is well aware of the disturbing scope of his inept management style when he was in the political chair as vice president and eventually as president of Ghana before 2017. No matter how hard he tries, Mr. Dramani Mahama has consistently shown that he is simply not a good steward of contemporary government, except in the misapplication of scarce state resources, and even more so in the science of manipulation and incoherent public outbursts.
Those Ghanaians who have not carefully observed the former president’s public conduct can easily fall into the misleading belief that Mr. JD Mahama is an unassuming, selfless and decisive leader with genuine human sentiments; but the opposite happens. Obviously, ex-President Mahama’s main motive, if not the only one, that he is in politics for is the “pure power” that the Ghanaian Constitution gave the president to harness his authority over state institutions.
If the current NDC leader, who is traversing the country today and acting as though he gathers all his political acts, truly cares about ordinary Ghanaians, his past presidency and policies should have reflected the socio-economic conditions in Ghana before the Most Ghanaians will remove him from office. in 2016. As then-incumbent president with all the levers of state power at his disposal, the fact that he was mercilessly defeated and ousted from the presidency of the nation speaks eloquently of his incompetent full-blown leadership and lack of confidence that Ghanaians have for their leadership.
The fact is, if reasonable-minded Ghanaians without any whisper of cynicism genuinely embark on an examination of conscience and try to understand the direction in which Nana Addo is painstakingly leading this country, there is no way that Mr. Mahama can survive the deadly political tsunami that is coming through his country. I walk in the general election on December 7, 2020. It really is a disturbing development; And it is quite disturbing to witness a “lucky” former president who had every opportunity in this world to engineer significant change in Ghana, but was unable to successfully execute that transformation.
As one of the popular cliches says: “Hindsight is always 20/20”. Mr. JD Mahama has been in the highest decision-making chair in Ghana before, where he could have implemented many social intervention programs since the political party (NDC) he leads pretentiously claims to represent the social safety net or the social democratic ideals. Now Ghana is in decisive and competent hands led by Nana Akufo-Addo and her right hand, Dr. Bawumia. But the irony here is that Mr. Mahama is also witnessing and learning in plain sight how to execute 21S t government of the century efficiently; therefore, he is claiming and misleading Ghanaians that he should have another shot at the presidency because he believes he can do better than the people he now watches do the job competently.
Easier said than done, as the saying goes. Given the field of play, former President Mahama couldn’t kick the ball with skill to score, but once on the substitute bench, he has now found his playing skills or political mojo, and sadly has a considerable number of Ghanaians caught. in his jokes. May all Ghanaians who truly understand and appreciate peace, prosperity, abundant food supply, free education, job creation, deadly hatred for the so-called “murder queen subculture” and the like, say no to JD Mahama and his kind of politics in this regard. December 7th.
In other words, on December 7, 2020, the election should not only be a vote of “thanksgiving” for all the various social safety net programs that the government led by Nana Addo has put in place, but It must also be the day when Ghanaians vote once and for all for governance of relative quality and outright reject JD Mahama’s politics of greed, insults, subterfuge, “queen culture of murder” and in the process, sign and deliver the “political obituary” note of the former president to take to Bole Bamboi or Dubai to enjoy his accumulated wealth there. Ghanaians deserve much more than Mahama’s mediocre leadership!
