Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, standard-bearer for the Convention People’s Party (CPP), on Friday conducted his “electric shock” campaign tour to the people of North Tongu in the Volta region.
Mr. Greenstreet assured the people of Battor that he would receive development impacts when the CPP returned to power.
He assured that “the dead industries started by the great founder of the CPP and former president Dr. Kwame Nkrumah will be resurrected.”
He praised the people of Battor for practicing good personal hygiene and pledged their support in engaging traditional rulers to transform Ghana.
The standard-bearer asked voters to vote en masse for the CPP on December 7, to give the NDC and NPP an “electric shock.”
He also introduced his career candidate, Professor Emmanuel Boboobi, to bosses and electorates and urged them to vote for him to defend projects that would improve their living conditions.
Welcoming Mr. Greenstreet and his Battor running mate Togbe Patamia Dzekley VII, Supreme Chief and Chairman of the Battor Traditional Council, he commended the party for the peaceful way in which they have conducted themselves thus far in the run-up. to the elections.
In addition, he expressed his gratitude to the party for appointing his son of the earth, Professor Emmanuel Yaovi Boboobi, as the CPP’s running mate for the presidential and parliamentary elections on December 7.
Togbe Patamia, who is also vice president of the House of Chiefs of the Volta Region, called for peace in all aspects of all political activities in the Volta Region.
Togbe Patamia also accused all security forces of avoiding acts of intimidation and unprofessional conduct in the line of duty as the country prepares for the December elections.
Addressing supporters at Battor Roman Catholic JHS Park, Ms Nana Akosua Frimpomaa, president of the party, assured that Ghanaians would benefit from a special insurance package of ¢ 5,000.00 GH to improve their living conditions if the CPP returns. to the power.
All regional and some national executives, including some candidates for the party’s parliament, accompanied the standard-bearer to the region.
