Pogba may be vital to United’s rebirth – Herrera
Paul Pogba should stay with Manchester United and help the club become a re-established force, according to former Red Ander Herrera.
Pogba has missed most of the current season due to injury, and question marks continue around his future.
But Herrera has said that Pogba can shine alongside the arrival of January Bruno Fernandes.
“I think all Manchester United fans want to see the best of Pogba,” the Spaniard told ESPN.
“That can happen, and with Bruno Fernandes, I think Manchester United can do great things.
“Liverpool and Man City are also doing great things.
“It is not easy, but with Paul, Bruno, Marcus (Rashford) … they can.”
Pogba has been continuously linked to a departure from Old Trafford, with Real Madrid and the former Juventus club among his suitors.
“I haven’t spoken to him in a long time and I don’t know what he wants to do,” Herrera said.
“It is true that every day in the newspapers we can read that he wants to leave, or that Manchester United is going to sell him, but I really don’t know what he wants to do.”
