Former special counsel Martin Amidu has once again struck back at the presidency after Akufo-Addo received his resignation letter.
In a 27-page response to the allegations made against him from the presidency, Amidu accused President Akufo-Addo of being the lord of corruption.
He added that the entire response of the presidency about his resignation and line of work was full of “public deception and propaganda” that should be discredited.
Amidu described the PNP standard-bearer as a president who took the presidential oath “while viewing himself as the innocent flower of anti-corruption, but he was the mother snake of corruption.”
Furthermore, he described the Agyapa royalty transaction deal as the largest corrupt deal in Ghana since independence.
Upon redeeming himself, Martin Amidu said: “I resigned from my position as Special Prosecutor due to the traumatic experience I suffered from the reaction of the President who violated his presidential oath by illegally obstructing me from taking further action in the Agyapa Royalty Transactions of October 20 2020 to November 1, 2020 “.
“When I met with the president on October 23, 2020, I received the shock of my life when he demanded that I take no further action on the anti-corruption evaluation report of the Agyapa royalty transaction for one more week. It was then that it was divinely revealed to me that the president whom I trusted so much for his integrity was only seen as the innocent flower of anti-corruption, but in reality he was the mother serpent of corruption under the flower of innocent appearance. “
