Legon Cities captain Fatau Dauda has asked his teammates to work harder to turn their fortunes when they host Medeama SC in Week 3 of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
Legon Cities FC are still looking for their first win of the current season, having lost one and drawn one in their first two matches.
The Royals will host their fellow wrestlers Medeama SC on matchday three at Accra Sports Stadium.
And according to the team’s goalkeeper Dauda, his team must work above its level before it can start to deliver good results, starting from the game against Amarillas and Malvas on Sunday.
“We need to work harder before we can beat Medeama. It’s possible, ”commented the 24-game Ghana international.
“We know they are a good team, so we have to work hard because it will not be easy.”
“They also made several off-season hires, so we have to play above ourselves to achieve our goal. We just have to work as a team and Insha Allah we will defeat them, ”Fatau concluded.
Experienced coach Bashir Hayford will be on the bench at Legon Cities FC following the dismissal of Bosnian coach Goran Barjaktarevic.
Meanwhile, reports from the team’s camp indicate that record signing Asamoah Gyan could take his bow in the match after recovering from his injury setback.
