Jurgen Klopp has been told he can learn a trick from Sir Alex Ferguson to bounce back from Liverpool’s 2-0 loss to Atalanta.

Rio Ferdinand has revealed how his Manchester United teams bounced back from a similar position.

The Express quotes him as saying to BT Sport:

“From experience, you learn more (when you lose).

“You analyze yourself, you look a little deeper when you don’t win a game or don’t perform as well.

“I think you should do it and you hope these young people will do it, especially with the experience of all the analysts.

“When we were winning everything was pink, you win one game and move on to the next, whereas when there is a problem, you actually start looking back to see what the problems were.

“[Ferguson] it was never too high when we won and never too low when we lost.

“That was one of the great things I learned when I went to Manchester United.

“I used to be depressed when we lost or didn’t perform well, and I used to have that hangover for about three or four days.

“A great club like Liverpool, where they are now, they come back every two or three days, so they can’t afford to have that.”
