The standard bearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, says the party’s 2020 slogan, widely perceived as a mere comedy, will stun the two main political parties on December 8, 2020.
He argued that the slogan is gaining ground among the electorates and will possibly translate into mass voting for the CCP.
“There would definitely be others who might think that it is some kind of joke, but actually it is a kind of metaphor or theater to try to show Ghanaians the reality of what they have to do on December 7, 2020. And we hope they will. You drink this thought into your hearts and minds and into every fiber of your being that as you get closer and closer to deciding where you are going to put your thumb and who you are going to vote for, you will think of Akoko Kokoo, Number 4 on the ballot. And it won’t become a joke; the joke will be on NPP and NDC, because by that time they would have received the electric shock, ”he said in an interview with GHOne TV on Wednesday.
He said that the facts presented to Ghanaians about the state of affairs in this country in their campaigns only require that they be bold and stop recycling NPP, NDC to power.
Greenstreet said the electorate will wallow in despair, hopelessness and unemployment if they fail to shock the PNP and NDC.
