The presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) mocked President Akufo-Addo for his many unfulfilled campaign promises in 2016.

“Before the election, he said all kinds of sweet words. But what he did not realize is that they are not jargon that they use to govern a country; it’s hard work, honesty and truth, ”he said.
Imitating President Akufo-Addo, the NDC leader cited the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) promise not to borrow and then questioned, “but look at what is happening now.”
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has confronted Mr. Mahama for doubting the ability of his government.
Driving through Mallam market on Wednesday, the president emphasized that the Mahama government is the administration Ghanaians must flee from.
According to him, he, Akufo-Addo is a man of his word and, for that matter, he asked merchants to evaluate his works in the first term and vote for him.
