“Until we achieve a resounding victory, we will not be able to sleep. If we sleep, we will slip.” – These were the words of President Freddie Blay when he met with executives from the Greater Accra region, electoral district executives, MMDCE, government appointees, volunteer groups, the regional campaign team, sponsors and some prominent members from the region as part of their national tour to determine match readiness and further urge the party to victory on December 7, 2020.

President Blay posited that Greater Accra was to be the defining region, therefore the Greater Accra team would have to work hard to reward the president for the incredible work done across the country.

We need a resounding victory to send a strong signal to the entire country that we are not ready to return to the John Mahama desert, that we are ready for the promised land of Akufo-Addo.

Fortunately, we have tested both situations. We come from the Mahama desert where there was dumsor, where agricultural growth was negative, where industrial growth was nothing special, where nursing and teacher training assignments were canceled, where the unemployment situation was so unbearable that it led to training from the association of unemployed graduates, where the cost of electricity was higher than the cost of rent, where institutional corruption was the order of the day, illegal payments such as SADA, GEEDA, WOYOME, etc., etc.

Fortunately, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom decided to bless the country with the decisive, compassionate, incorruptible and God-fearing Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and due to her foresight, allocations for the training of teachers and nurses, our children, have been restored. and grandchildren are Ghana, which enjoys free education through planting for food and jobs, currently exports 19 food crops; our cocoa producers for the first time in history have an increase of more than 28 percent in the price of cocoa production.

Stable electricity, reduced import duties, reduced cost of electricity, free electricity for more than 1.2 million consumers, free water for all Ghanaians, making teachers the cardinal center of our education with restoration of allowances for books and research, introduction of the professional development grant, introduction of free graduate education for all physicians, etc.

President Blay reminded the meeting that the Akufo-Addo government has no equal in the area of industrialization, particularly in the development of the automotive industry in the West African sub-region. “We have big auto giants like Sino Truck, Toyota, VW and Nissan, all setting up assembly plants in the country. Beyond that, local assembly companies have also received help from tax incentives to serve as financial assistance, ”he said.

Despite these massive achievements, the National President tasked the party machinery in the region not to sleep until the last vote is counted and a resounding victory is declared. He praised the Party’s leadership in the region and urged all members of the executive to bury their differences in order to carry out the agenda with a united front.

The Regional President, Mr. Devine Agorhom, assured the National President that the regional machinery is poised for a resounding victory on December 7th and that they will do everything in their power to win the Greater Accra Region with a massive margin.

The National President was accompanied by Dr. Dominic Eduah, Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation, His Excellency Dr. Charles Dwamena, Deputy Ambassador to China, and Dr. Richard Asante Yeboah, Deputy National Director of Communications and Government spokesperson on infrastructure.

The national president is located across the country for all regions and has so far visited the Oti, Volta and eastern regions.
