The Bundesliga is ready to restart.
The German government has given the green light for soccer to resume in the country, with May 16 as the return date.
The Bundesliga is the first major European league to restart during the coronavirus pandemic, and it has set itself the goal of ending its season before the end of June.
This is how Germany’s best flight is at the moment.
Title race
Bayern Munich is on track to secure another Bundesliga title after an impressive recovery with Hansi Flick.
The Bavarian side sits at the top of the table, four points ahead of second-placed Borussia Dortmund, and five points ahead of third-place RB Leipzig.
Matchday 28 could decide the title, with Dortmund hosting Bayern at Der Klassiker.
Champions League locations
There are only four points between Dortmund in second place and Bayer Leverkusen in fifth place, with Leipzig and Borussia Monchengladbach in the middle.
On the penultimate day, Dortmund will travel to Leipzig and Gladbach host Leverkusen.
Europa League venues
Only five points separate Schalke in sixth place and Koln in tenth, with Wolfsburg, Freiburg and Hoffenheim in the middle.
While fifth and sixth will see him qualified for the Europa League, a ticket to seventh place could also be opened, depending on who wins the DFB-Pokal.
Decline
Paderborn (16 points) and Werder Bremen (18 points) occupy the bottom two places in the Bundesliga, with Fortuna Dusseldorf in the relegation play-off position with 22 points.
Mainz, Augsburg, Hertha Berlin and Eintracht Frankfurt are not yet entirely safe.
Promotion
Arminia Bielefeld is on her way to earning promotion to the Bundesliga for the first time since they were relegated in 2009.
They currently lead the 2. Bundesliga table, with Stuttgart six points from second place and Hamburg seven points from third place, so Hamburg will play in the relegation play-off if it stays that way.
Golden Boot
Robert Lewandowski’s 25 goals see him top the Bundesliga scoring charts, four goals ahead of second-placed Timo Werner.
Erling Haaland already has nine goals in his eight league appearances for Dortmund.
