Former Atlético de Madrid goalkeeper Leo Franco has hailed former Real Madrid striker Raúl González, who he ranked as the best striker of all time ahead of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Raúl left Los Blancos in 2010 to join Schalke and after going through Al Sadd and New York Cosmos, he decided to hang up his boots and take his first steps as a coach. The Asturian is in charge of Real Madrid Castilla.

Franco continued to praise Diego Simeone’s coaching virtues. The two men agreed as players at Atlético de Madrid in 2005, during Cholo’s second stage with Los Rojiblancos.

Franco, who attempted to coach Huesca in 2018, made a total of 172 appearances during his time at Atlético.
