Hakim Ziyech and N’Golo Kante starred for Chelsea, while the others were impressive and beat Bunrley 3-0 at Turf Moor.
Chelsea suffered an early setback when Christian Pulisic had to retire before the game started due to a minor hamstring problem sustained during the pre-game warm-up. Timo Werner came in for Pulisic and was instrumental in the opening goal, as Hakim Ziyech scored his first Premier League goal.
From then on, Chelsea continued to dominate, with Edouard Mendy without a hitch. And the victory was completed midway through the second half, when Kurt Zouma made it 2-0 with a commanding header from Mason Mount’s corner before Werner scored Chelsea’s third after catching a good pass from Ziyech.
The victory brought Chelsea to fourth place in the Premier League table, having returned to the winning track in the division. The Hard Tackle now runs the rule on Frank Lampard’s men after a convincing performance against Burnley.

The easiest way out in his short stint at Chelsea so far. Mendy was quick out of his lines and made no mistake in claiming the aerial balls without issue. He has yet to concede a goal in the Premier League since joining Chelsea.
Reece James: 8/10
Another impressive show from the young Reece James, who continues to grow with each passing performance. With Burnley barely putting pressure on the Chelsea defense, James was a constant exit down the right flank, the England international sent several dangerous crosses. Involved in the preparation of the third goal before Hakim Ziyech cut off Burnley’s defense.
Thiago Silva: 7/10
Back in the starting lineup having rested for the trip to Krasnodar, Silva radiated calm into the heart of the Chelsea defense, embracing the added burden of being the captain of the day. Along with Kurt Zouma, he maintained such fine control over Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes that the Burnley forwards were left anonymous. Solid.
Kurt Zouma: 8/10
No Chelsea player has scored more Premier League goals this season than Kurt Zouma (3).

Defensively, he needed Silva to guide him that day and a few sloppy touches could have ended with a red face. However, in the end, there was no harm as Chelsea kept a clean sheet without much fuss. Boosted on his header with an imposing jump after being unmarked.
Ben Chilwell: 7/10
Another game, another performance in which Chilwell posed a major threat on the left flank. The Englishman almost had an early turnout and had a penalty cry on deaf ears. Like James on the right wing, his crosses carried a threat. However, a better first touch might have seen him perhaps score a goal himself as well.
Kai Havertz: 8/10
He played at no. Instead of deploying in a more advanced position, Havertz made a defensive change, keeping Dwight McNeil quiet throughout the course of the game. During the offensive phases of the game, his excellent movement helped create open spaces, which in turn helped his teammates further up the field. Positive signs.
N’Golo Kante: 9/10

With Lampard deploying two attack-minded players at his side, Kante needed to work his socks in the middle of the park. And, the Frenchman covered a lot of ground, all while boasting a 95 percent approval rating. He even created a delicious opportunity for Timo Werner from the outside of his boot. At his best, Kante is simply irresistible.
Mason Mount: 8/10
Back in the starting lineup, Mount pulled the strings in the middle of the park, giving Lampard something to think about about selecting his team going forward. This is a role that fits Mount perfectly, with the English international playing in 3 key passes and at the same time creating a great opportunity from his corner, converted by Zouma. He worked hard on the ball in a stellar display as well.
Hakim Ziyech: 9/10
Making his first Premier League start at last, Ziyech showed why Chelsea fans had been longing for his return from injury. The Moroccan international ran the show in the final third and was involved in setting up his goal before finishing the play with a fantastic low shot.
Ziyech wasn’t the type to shy away from completing his defensive duties, either, supporting Kai Havertz and Reece James on his flank. He finished the game with an assist as well, opening up Burnley’s defense to send Werner clean to goal, and the German made no mistake finding the back of the net.

Tammy Abraham: 7/10
Despite Chelsea’s dominance, Tammy Abraham didn’t see much of the ball. However, he made his mark on the game, displaying excellent space awareness to prepare Ziyech for his goal with a deft first touch of a Werner pass. Nick Pope parried and had another blocked shot. Another who worked hard without the ball.
Timo Werner: 8/10
A late inclusion in the starting lineup after Pulisic’s retirement due to injury, Werner seemed determined to make a difference. The German international was heavily involved in preparing for Ziyech’s goal and ended the game with a good shot from Ziyech through the ball. In between, he was a nimble presence on the left flank and also created 2 chances. Fine screen.
SUBSTITUTES
Callum Hudson-Odoi: N / A
In Ziyech’s place, Hudson-Odoi didn’t see much of the ball, but he still managed to create an opportunity later. I hope to start in the next few weeks.
Olivier Giroud: N / A
In place of Abraham, Giroud shoved the ball into the back of the net shortly after entering the field, only to see the goal disallowed for offside.
Jorginho: N / A
A late introduction, Jorginho helped watch the game.
