News coming YEN.com.gh It indicates that six people have been arrested for their alleged participation in the plot to assassinate Cynthia Morrison, a deputy from Agona West for the second time.
The six alleged criminals, namely; John Toko, 26; Emmanuel Mensah, 25; Elvis Kwabena Poku, 36; Kwabena Poku, 48 years old; Wahab Saeed, 26, and Kweku Amponsah, 26, are in the hands of the Swedru Divisional Police Command. According to a report by JoyNews, they were using a Corolla taxi with registration number (AS 4534-19) to follow the MP on the Agona Otsenkorang Highway.
The report indicates that Cynthia Morrison was on a campaign tour from that city and neighboring villages when she suspected that the same vehicle was following her.
The suspected criminals had camped for the past five days at a hotel in Swedru.
The police kept an eye on them at the hotel until they arrived at 9:30 pm Wednesday and Toko tried to escape when he saw the police, but was eventually arrested.
They were searched and found eight mobile phones, an NDC identification card with registration number (41047603-A) and the branch card number (A 151501) in Toko, who said he was from the central constituency of Amanfi from the western region.
Two Talismen were found on both arms of Saeed, who also had charms on his waist, five rings, and green military vests.

According to a report by Ghanaweb, the four suspects were arrested in connection with an alleged plot to assassinate Gender Minister Cynthia Mamle Morrison.
After being questioned by the Central Regional Police command, Amoah confirmed that he was the person who issued the checks found on the suspects at the time of their arrest.
According to DSP Oppong, Amoah has been charged with complicity to commit a crime (murder) and preparation to commit a crime.
