5th Glitz Ghana Women Of The Year Honors Awards McBrown, 10 others

Glitz Africa has honored some 11 women and the Ghana Health Service in the fifth annual Ghana Women of the Year Honors.

The award recognizes women in diverse industries who use their position, experience and influence to inspire others to make a difference while empowering other women.

The winners of this year’s honors were selected by a competent board of achievers who used objective criteria to determine the list of deserving women in different fields.

The Gala was held at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra at 7pm on Saturday, September 25, 2020.

The event, which was hosted by bilingual broadcaster, Anita Erskine, was broadcast live on the Glitz Africa YouTube channel and a partner media station.

The artists who moved those attending the ceremony were the young poet Nakeeyat Sam Dramani, the musicians Akwaboah, Efya and MOG.

This year’s event featured a campaign promoting sexual consent with the hashtags: #ISaidNo #NoConsentNoSex. This was promoted with influencers to raise public awareness of the effects of rape on society.

Special Guests of Honor at the event were Konadu Agyeman Rawlings and Gender Minister Cynthia Mamle Morrison and media personality and talent manager Frema Adunyame.
