Archive: Ayalolo buses parked at the terminal
Four (4) Ayalolo buses have been burned to the ground at the Ashanti regional workshop of the State Transportation Company (STC) in Kumasi.
A source who recounted the unfortunate incident to Kumasi’s Pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo explained that the fire engulfed the buses around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday night.
According to the source, the drivers parked the buses and left and then saw smoke coming out of one of the vehicles.
“We couldn’t control the fire and it moved from one bus to another. We called the fire service to help with the situation. When they arrived, the fire had engulfed and burned all four buses “
The cause of the fire is not yet known, but an electrical failure is believed to have caused the fire.
It took the intervention of fire service personnel to control hell. STC officials were silent about the unfortunate development when contacted by MyNewsGh.com for comment on the matter.
Meanwhile, officials from the Ghana National Fire Service launched an investigation into the matter, who managed to salvage the situation.
