In other news, Ghanaian hairdresser Grace Minnet, a former student of Benkum Senior High School, has made inroads into a career that is seen as stereotyped as a male-dominated field.

Professionally known as Minnet the Barber, the adventurous woman has beaten the odds and stands out as a barber, despite the impediments that women face in the field.

The 25-year-old’s career path began after completing high school in 2010.

Minnet started out in a salon, working as a hairdresser, because for her, it was the career that most young women her age were pursuing at the time.
