Two staff members of The Multimedia Group Limited have received the UN Kofi Annan Excellence Awards.

Joy Sports Editor Nathaniel Attoh and Music Program Director Kwadwo Ampofo aka DJ Black received the award in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the media industry over the years.

The ceremony took place on Friday, August 28 at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.

Mr. Attoh was honored for his wonderful feats in the field of sports, while Joy 99.7FM ‘Weekend Warmer’ host DJ Black received an award for his outstanding contributions to the entertainment industry.

Attoh said the recognition would push him to continue impacting the lives of many people.

“I am enormously honored by this great recognition, and I see it as a message that says there is more we can do in terms of leading discussions and publishing content that changes the status quo in the sectors in which we operate.

It tells us not to minimize the effect of what we do on those on the receiving end, ”he said.

Other similar award recipients include musicians Sarkodie and Daughters of Glorious Jesus.

The 2020 Global Leadership Service to Humanity Awards honor the late UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan to recognize the media’s achievements in nation-building, excellence, global score for governance between countries and sustainable leadership.
