The KIA truck that was involved in the accident

Two supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Banda constituency of the Bono region have died in a horrific accident.
Supporters, a man and a woman, were killed when the KIA truck they were traveling in was involved in an accident.
The accident happened at a place called Banda Bofie around noon on Thursday, November 26, 2020.
Supporters were heading to a youth program in Banda Kanka when the KIA truck had the accident, killing the two supporters and injuring several more.
The injured were rushed to Nsawkaw District Hospital, where most of them were treated and released.
The NDC’s Bono regional communications officer, Charles Akowuah, who confirmed the news to Ghanaweb, revealed that nine of the victims are still admitted and one in critical condition in the hospital.
“It is true that we have lost two of our fans who were heading to a youth program at Banda Kanka. Several others also suffered varying degrees of injuries. As I speak to you, most of the injured have been treated and discharged, but there are still nine people admitted and one in critical condition. “
Meanwhile, Ghanaweb receives reliable information that the mortal remains of the deceased have been deposited at Wenchi Methodist Hospital.
NDC campaign activities in recent weeks have been marked by some deaths.
Last Saturday, some supporters from the Ejura-Sekyedumase constituency who were on their way to meet the standard bearer, John Dramani Mahama, were involved in an accident that claimed six lives.
Another accident in Ellembelle on Sunday, November 22, 2020, also claimed one life and injured many others when a commercial vehicle collided with supporters embarking on a peace walk.
