Another 50 passengers are said to have been injured in the accident that occurred around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The vehicle subsequently drifted out of its lane and crashed into the two buses fully loaded with passengers from Kumasi to Accra.
An STC bus with registration number GE 8131-16 and another bus with registration number GT4997 -20 in their attempt to avoid the DAF Cargo truck crashed.

The bodies lying on the ground next to the vehicles have also been taken to the morgue.
Speaking to JoyNews, a NADMO staff, Kwadwo Minta said that the team has managed to rescue all the passengers who were trapped in the vehicle.
“We received a call for help from a witness, so the NADMO team mobilized with the police and rushed to the scene.
“When we got here, there were about ten dead bodies and we couldn’t even find each and every head.
“There were ten bodies that we counted at the site, then the head of NaDMO received a call from the hospital that one had died, bringing the total to 11.
“So you can imagine a fully loaded STC bus and another KIA bus.
“So all these people have been transferred to Suhum Government Hospital and Nsawam Government Hospital.
