If you’re a gamer – or just visit the sites with Cheapskate occasionally – you probably know that Epic Games releases at least one free game every Thursday. This week, Epic is giving away two games plus a third bonus title. And oh man, what a bonus it is: Only for 24 hours can you get the just released A Total War Saga: Troy for free. That’s a top tier game that will cost you $ 50 this time tomorrow.
As always, once you download one or all of these games, they are yours forever. For the others below, you must submit by Thursday, August 20th. That’s when they’re replaced by Enter the Gungeon and God’s Trigger.

You have until August 14th. At 6pm PT (3pm ET) – which is tomorrow morning – to grab this brand new game for free. This is part of the Total War franchise, so I expect we’ll see the powerful combination of turn-based strategy and real-time tactics, with stunning visuals and a laser-like focus on a specific moment in history and the characters who have formed it.

The world is thrown into chaos by an ancient evil from another dimension. As one of the last remnants of man, you must travel alone or with two other survivors to bring down hordes of deadly enemies to make up for what was lost. That is the premise of this third-person survival character shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world, exaggerated by monstrous creatures.

Try your hand at a charming single player adventure game. In the endless desert and above, alpine expansions await two tours, filled with procedurally generated courses for adventures of snowboarding or sandboarding.
