Reading of the scores, results of Georgia football 2020 schedule

We now know Georgia’s 2020 schedule, with the league announcing the full list of games on Monday. The Bulldogs will open the season against Arkansas and close against Vanderbilt. They will have home games against Vanderbilt, Auburn, Tennessee and Mississippi State. The Bulldogs travel to Arkansas, Alabama, Kentucky, Missouri and South Carolina while playing Florida in Jacksonville, Fla.

So with the scheme, why not predict how things will shake? The Bulldogs are still the favorites to win the SEC East. If they do, it would only be the second time in the history of the conference that a team has won four consecutive division titles. The SEC championship game is scheduled for December 19 this year.

Week 1: in Arkansas

Georgia will not have to wait long to see Sam Pittman again, as the former Georgia offensive line coach will train against his former employer in his first game as head coach. While Georgia is breaking a new offense, the Bulldogs should still easily win this game. The Razorbacks have not won an SEC game since 2017. Georgia 45, Arkansas 6

Week 2: Vs. Auburn

Auburn will be a strong Week 2 test for Georgia’s new offense. But it could benefit Georgia to catch Auburn sooner rather than later. The Tigers will also have a new attacking coordinator in Chad Morris. Factor in to replace the likes of Derrick Brown and Marlon Davidson on the defensive line, and the Bulldogs should have enough to win a tightly contested game. Georgia 24, Auburn 16

Week 3: Vs. Tennessee

Similar to Auburn, it could benefit Georgia to get the volunteers early in the season instead of in November as originally planned. Playing what a physical Tennessee team should be a week after Auburn is less than ideal, but the Bulldogs still have the edge over Tennessee when it comes to talent. And that’s before the Volunteers learned Cade Mays would not be eligible. Georgia 34, Tennessee 13

Week 4: at Alabama

This would always be Georgia’s toughest game, whether it came at the beginning of the season or at the end of it. When it comes to two physical games in Auburn and Tennessee, this game is not easier. With this game in Tuscaloosa, Ala., We think it might just be too difficult. But the Bulldogs were able to get a second shot at the end of the season at the Crimson Tide. Alabama 31, Georgia 23

Week 5: in Kentucky

Georgia must be careful here not to turn one possible loss against Alabama into a second defeat. The Wildcats are not as talented as Georgia, but they will deserve Georgia to win the road. The Wildcats have one of the top offensive lines in the country and Mark Stoops usually has a competent defense. If the Wildcats are able to qualify former Auburn quarterback Joey Gatewood, that could help make the Wildcats an even tougher one. Georgia 31, Kentucky 10

Week 6: off

Week 7: Vs. Florida

The Bulldogs get a full need of the week before confronting the Gators in a game the SEC East could decide. Florida seems to have closed the gap because of the questions about the crime of Georgia and the Gators bringing Kyle Trask back. But at this point in the scheme, we should know what Georgia’s crime is capable of doing. And Kirby Smart’s defense could do enough to stop Dan Mullen’s offense once again. Georgia 31, Florida 20

Week 8: in Missouri

This will probably be Georgia’s first cupcake since the opener against Arkansas. Georgia has not lost to Missouri in Columbia, Mo., since the Tigers joined the SEC in 2012. Even with Eliah Drinkwitz now the head coach for Missouri, do not expect this to change in 2020. Georgia 56, Missouri 14

Week 9: Vs. Mississippi State

This will be Georgia’s first home game in six Saturdays. Mike Leach and his ongoing misdemeanor figure to present an interesting challenge, along with transfer quarterback KJ Costello. But Mississippi State does not exactly need the players to carry out Leach’s scheme. It is also at a great talent disadvantage compared to Georgia. Georgia 52, Mississippi State 24

Week 10: in South Carolina

This will be a revenge game for the Bulldogs after what happened in 2019 at Sanford Stadium. The Gamecocks have a few former Bulldogs on the staff in head coach Will Muschamp and offensive coordinator Mike Bobo. This game is one made for the defensive endeavors, but we think Georgia will figure out their mistake by this point where it can score enough points to win comfortably. Georgia 34, South Carolina 10

Week 11: Vs. Vanderbilt

Georgia packs its schedule with perhaps the worst team that will face Vanderbilt all season. This should be an easy win for the Bulldogs to close out the regular season. Georgia 45, Vanderbilt 0
