Georgia’s young football coach, who was seen in a viral video this week beating his player twice and knocking him to the ground, has been banned for life by the world’s largest youth football organization.

Williams was identified by the Sheriff’s Office in Chatham County, Ga. Officials said Williams was removed from the detention center as a counselor.
“The CCSO reviewed the video and we are deeply saddened by the actions of Mr. Gerald Williams,” said Chatham County Sheriff John T. Wilcher said in a statement. “The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office fee does not support this behavior. As of December 10, 2020, he is no longer an employee of the CCSO.
