When it launched in September, the Ganshin effect surprised players with a beautiful open world and game style that is not often seen in free-to-play games. Now, developer Mihoyo is thinking of changing things into something that players say has become increasingly boring after almost a month of daily play – including the way it travels fast.
The changes were announced in a blog post by Mihoyo, in light of concerns raised by a survey of many players sent in-game by the developer. One of these is related to fast travel.
“Getting around in the game world is time consuming, I want to be able to set up my own teleport way points for areas I visit frequently,” reads player feedback briefly. “We have developed an item that provides this type of operation that will be available for free in the new system,” Mihoyo replied. “Passengers can find this in version 1.1!”
While players can use unlocked teleport waypoints and any Statue of the Seven as quick trips, some regular venues such as in-world boss battles require a track from a teleport point, or a boring wandering rock.
Although Mihoyo did not give further details about the next item available, the 1.1 patch note leak on Reddit describes a “portable teleporter” that can be placed in any area, essentially serving as an additional teleport way point for up to 7 days. Before it ends.
Patch 1.1 is due out on November 11, and promises to bring a lot of life-important quality updates – including improvements to the multi-melted resin system – as well as a new roster of characters and weapons.
