Gamescom Opening Night Live: Biggest Trailers and Announcements


Gamescom 2020 may not be the personal spectacle we have known, but that does not mean that it is not a big problem. The virtual version of the trade began with Gamescom Opening Night Live, a two-hour event that included many announcements and trailers, all about the Fall Guys phenomenon for upcoming blockbusters like Star Wars: Squadrons en Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Dragon Age still alive

It’s been a long time since we heard about the following Dragon Age. And while BioWare has not released a new trailer for the game, the studio at least proved that it’s still working with an behind – the – scenes video full of concept art, early game renditions, and many staff excited about the fantasy realm,

The Sims must Star Wars

One of the show’s biggest surprises was the last one Star Wars experience, which takes place in the world of The Sims. The latest expansion for The Sims 4 is called Travel to Batuu, and it begins on September 8th.

Fall Guys gets a second season

It feels like Fall Guys, the unofficial game of the summer, just launched, but it’s already getting a new season with a hefty helping of new content. It will be in October.

Other Call of Duty trailer

It was only yesterday that Activision officially unveiled Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, but we already have a second trailer for the game, complete with a long look at CG Ronald Reagan. The shooter will begin on November 13th.

A better look at Star Wars: Squadrons

Star Wars: Squadrons, which promises to recreate the feel of piloting an X-wing as a TIE Fighter, remains impressive, making the wait until October’s release all the more difficult.

Twelve minutes has in incredible cast

The indie game Twelve minutes has been intriguing for a while, and the latest trailer makes it even more exciting, with a cast that includes William Dafoe, Daisy Ridley, and James McAvoy. It is referred to as “coming soon” for both Xbox and PC.

Ratchet & Clank on PS5

The colorful Ratchet & Clank series has long been a technical showcase, and that seems to be the case with the PS5 entry, Rift apart. You can watch it well in this long gameplay demo of seven minutes.

Medal of Honor in VR

A virtual reality assumes Medal of Honor is not necessarily the most exciting statement, but this version is picked up by Respawn, a studio that is on the roll with games like Apex Legends en Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, not to mention the classic Titanfall 2. At Gamescom, we took a deeper look at how this iteration will play out. The new Medal of Honor, neamd Above all, will come to the Oculus Rift.

Doom Ivich gets an extension

The bombastic Doom Ivich becomes even bigger, with a new expansion called for the story campaign The ancient gods. Part one of the expansion will be available on October 20th.

Bridge Constructor must The walking Dead

2017 saw the release of a seemingly early mashup that worked well: Bridge Constructor Portal. Now comes another, even less obvious take on the Bridge Constructor franchise with a Walking Dead spinoff. It plans to launch on just about everything this year: iOS, Android, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, and next-generation consoles.

World of WarcraftThe next expansion will be launched in October

The long-running MMO World of Warcraft expands once more this year, with a new expansion, called Shadowlands, launching on October 27th. It’s the eighth major add-on, and Blizzard describes it this way:
