Devolver Digital has released Game of Thrones: Tale of Crows, a new idle game for iOS and Apple Arcade that lets you take control of various lords of the night
If you are part of the shield that preserves the empire of men, your task is to strengthen the wall with deliveries and coordinate excursions to the wild and dangerous North. The clock in the game moves real-time and does not stop when you close the app, which means that expeditions you order will continue when you are offline. You can turn on notifications that alert you when something happens, or wait to find out when you reopen the game.
“In the shadow of the wall begins your watch. Eight thousand years before Jon Snow took the Black, the Night’s Watch was formed to secure the wall and defend the border of Westeros against the dangers of the North, and all that. “Out there lies. In these untamed wilds, sworn brothers and their allies at a distance to create the dangers that would spoil the empire. But the wall is a knife that cuts both ways,” read the description from the press release.
It actually seems surprisingly chill for a Game of Thrones mobile game. The trailer opens with an intimate conversation inside what is probably a super cozy tavern. Ale in hand, your tablet begins to tell the story of Night’s Watch. And even though there are divided fans of season 8, the world of George RR Martin is so incredibly rich with history that I am more than obligated to sit down for an interactive lesson.
Developed by That Silly Studio, Game of Thrones: Tale of Crows is now out on Apple Arcade and iOS mobile devices. A release on Android has not yet been announced.
Be the Lord Commander to make Jon Snow proud with the best phones for gaming in 2020.
