Kit Harington had to film in pretty extreme conditions during her eight years in the hit HBO fantasy drama game of Thrones. But there is a scene during her time in game of Thrones that stands out above the rest. Here’s a look at the scene Harington claims was the “scariest” to shoot.
Harington talks about keeping secrets on the set of ‘Game of Thrones’
Harington’s character faced many ups and downs during the eight seasons of game of Thrones. In season 5 of the fantasy drama, the Night’s Watch killed Jon in an attempt to take over Castle Black on The Wall.
Melisandre (Carice van Houten) brought Jon back to life in the sixth season. Fans suspected Jon was going to return after his betrayal, and Harington was forced to sneak around the set while filming season 6 to avoid leaks.
In a 2017 interview with the Belfast Telegraph, Harington revealed that he was relieved after his character was resurrected from death because he didn’t have to worry about keeping secrets.
“It was really a relief to be able to walk around Belfast and not have to make an excuse about what I’m doing here,” Harington shared.
Harington added that HBO increased security throughout the set. When a drone flew overhead to catch some of the action, he had to run for cover and shelter in a tent.
Who did Harington tell about Jon’s fate?
Speaking of Jon’s resurrection, Harington also revealed exactly who he told about Jon’s final fate before season 6.
Before the world saw Jon come back to life, Harington told his parents and Rose Leslie, whom he married in 2018. But his family members were not the only people who knew that Jon was coming back from the death.

When Harington was driving home one day, a policeman stopped him for speeding. The police recognized Harington immediately and said he would let him go if he told him about what’s going on in the program.
Without hesitation, Harington told the police officer exactly what was going to happen to Jon in Season 6.
Harington talks about which episode was the “scariest” to film
Throughout the first seven seasons of game of ThronesHarington filmed in a variety of difficult conditions. But the worst scene he filmed for the show was actually Battle of the bastards.
Harington explained how he suffers from claustrophobia and the scene in question required him to be crushed by a handful of other warriors.
“I have some fears, spiders are one of them, but the worst is my claustrophobia: I have a deadly fear of crowds. I panic, “he said. “It was one of the most terrifying and uncomfortable things: 15 bearded Irishmen crushed you.”
Harington added that the worst moment came when Jon was about to become engulfed in the multitude of bodies before fighting “to the top” of the pile. The scene was crucial in the battle, and it’s easy to see why Harington was uncomfortable.
Luckily for Harington, the Battle of the bastards It was later in the show’s run and was one of the last major battle scenes he filmed before the series finale in Season 8.
What did Harington think about Jon’s journey in ‘Game of Thrones’?
Jon’s journey, of course, came to a controversial end in the final season of game of Thrones. Although many fans expected great things from Jon in the series finale, he was banished from Westeros after killing Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), who had just set King’s Landing on fire.
Many viewers were dissatisfied with the way Jon’s story ended, and Harington admitted in 2017 that he was optimistic about Jon’s future in Season 7.
“You could see, at the end of the sixth season, he is thinking: ‘I am the King of the North and there is a small smile on his face, and I think the seventh season begins with optimism,” Harington shared. “That is, the world is ending and in real danger, but at least it’s in a place where people will listen to it when they warn them, and they can go straight to business.”

Harington then joked that he feels Jon was in mortal danger after sending Melisandre away. Little did the actor know that it wasn’t Jon’s life he should have cared about.
Since then, Harington revealed that he quickly came to terms with Jon’s fate in the final season of game of Thrones. As Harington sees it, Jon always belonged to the north and would not have been satisfied ruling Westeros at King’s Landing.
