If you want an example of how Samsung’s foldable phone technology advanced G has progressed, look no further. JerryGEvering (aka Zack Nelson) has put the Galaxy Z Fold 2 through a durability test, and it’s clear that the Mood is more reliable than the original Fold – although that can’t be said for the internal display.
Unlike the first fold, which quickly succumbed to dirt, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 has an elastic handle that remains functional even after being covered by the Earth. Nelson was charged with Bristols (already visible on the Galaxy Z flip) that keep the mood clear. You may not want to be reckless, but you can keep the phone in your pocket without fear that it will ruin your $ 2,000 gem.
It is also particularly strong. Despite his best efforts to turn the phone back, Nelson was unable to capture it.

Still, the durability test was not kind to the built-in Galaxy Z Fold 2 display. Even with a finger hose, the screen is still easy to scratch. You may want to leave the guard, as it may be your defense against an expensive replacement. While this does not guarantee that you will ruin the display, you will be gentle. The external display (which uses Gorilla Glass Victos) is as scratch-resistant as you’ll find on many other modern phones, at least.
Nelson added that the fingerprint reader built into the power button was “picky” in top form, and quickly became unreliable after a few scratches.
Tests suggest that Samsung has achieved great speed with durability with the Galaxy Z Fold 2, but it still runs within the limits of a foldable display. For early adopters this has been a device – it’s just that Samsung is very close to taking Foldub Ables into the mainstream.
