From the ashes at the Epic Games Store

Perfect World Entertainment and Gunfire Games have announced that remnant: From the Ashes was claimed more than 10 million times last week. The game was available for free download on Epic Games Store from August 13th to August 20th.

That’s about the number of players who claimed their free copy of A Total War Saga: TROY. SEGA announced earlier this month that more than 7.5 million players have claimed their free copy of A Total War Saga: TROY by EGS.

Survival: From the Ashes is a third-person survival action shooter, in which up to three allies hunt dangerous enemies across ever-changing enemy worlds. The game has more than 100 deadly monsters and more than 20 bosses across dynamically generated levels. Players can also build an offensive arsenal to wheel and upgrade via a flexible gear-centric progression system.

These figures prove that more and more players are joining Epic’s digital store. There are still people who boycott all games released on EGS. However, the service currently has a large enough audience. So yes, it turns out that Epic’s gamble pays out. Or at least that’s what these figures suggest.

In addition to the free games, Epic Games still signs deals with various publishers and developers. Hitman 3 will be released exclusively in Epic Games Store, as will Crysis Remastered.

Stay tuned for more!
