A peaceful wedding photo session outside a restaurant in Beirut was abruptly stopped when a massive explosion swept through the city’s harbor, with cool video showing the moment the shock wave hit another newlyweds.
The dramatic footage shows a couple in wedding posing for photos at an eatery less than 1.2 kilometers away from the site of Tuesday’s colossal explosion, which killed more than 150 people and injured more than 5,000 . In an instant, the quiet scene was transformed into chaos as the violent explosion ripped through the neighborhood, overpowering the newlyweds with broken glass and pun.
It is unclear if anyone seen in the short video was seriously injured, only showing the bride and groom, as well as the cameraman, Palestinian photographer Ibrahim Hasan Kitmitto, who is running for cover when the explosion occurs .
That marriage was not the only one overshadowed by the explosion, which is thought to have been set up after a fire at the port trapped some 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate in a nearby warehouse. In another clip obtained by RT’s Ruptly, the explosion was seen destroying at a wedding, about eight miles (12.7 km) away from the harbor, during which the stained glass windows of the church burned out as guests to safety braids.

Yet another clip depicts 29-year-old Israa Seblani somewhere in the city as she is photographed at her wedding, beaming with a smiling second before the deaf explosion.
‘I have been preparing for my big day for two weeks and I was as happy as all the other girls,’ I will get married. “My parents will be happy to see me in a white dress, I will look like a princess,” Seblani told Retuers after the blast.
