Four new COVID-19 cases in Tuolumne County


SONORA, CA – Four new residents have been identified with COVID-19, according to a Tuolumne County Public Health report. Three cases are in isolation and one has been hospitalized for a non-covid issue. The previous two separate cases have been re-hospitalized, and one previously hospitalized case has been recovered.

Known Toulumne tests: 12,422, positive 262, active case 14, total found 248. Total found total Total 14 prisoners who have been recovered are among the positive cases of Toulumne County.

The no-cost state test site, currently located in Kave Lavras County Fairgrounds, will visit the Mother Load Fairgrounds in Sonora in late October. The site will be open for testing starting Tuesday, November 3rd. Appointments can begin at www.lhicare.com/covidtesting a few days before the start of the day.

The test site at Calevaras County Fairgrounds is open Tuesday – Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. This site offers testing for children ages 3 and up (with parents or guardians). Tuolumne County Public Health encourages anyone with the potential to take the test, and essential workers are encouraged to take the test every two weeks.

It is important that people continue to follow prevention guidelines to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, including:

  • Practice physical distance at all times. Keep 6 feet of space between you and people who are not part of your home. Stay in the bubble of your home!
  • Cover face in public.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently.
  • Avoid gatherings of any size with people who are not part of your home.
  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Avoid unnecessary travel, and limit the tasks you need to get around.
