A tech founder was found Tuesday in his New York condo with his head and limbs removed and a chainsaw next to him, police told Business Insider.
Fahim Saleh’s torso was found in his seventh-floor Manhattan condo at 265 East Houston St., a spokesman for the New York Police Department said.
Saleh was the founder and CEO of Gokada, a shared motorcycle company in Nigeria.
“We do not know if he passed away before being dismembered,” the spokesman said.
Saleh founded Gokada in Nigeria before moving to venture capital. He lived on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

The New York police spokesman told Business Insider: “We have no reason at this time.”
Saleh was discovered by her sister after she said she hadn’t seen him in a day and went to the department, the New York Daily News reported.
The New York police spokesman said that the Saleh department covered the entire floor and that an elevator goes directly to his department. The Daily News reported that it bought the apartment last year for $ 2.25 million.
The Daily News said surveillance camera footage taken on Monday appeared to show Saleh entering the elevator followed by a man in a suit with a hat and gloves and a mask over his face. Upon leaving the elevator, Saleh fell to the ground, the newspaper said.
Saleh was originally from Saudi Arabia and was born to Bangladeshi parents, according to a blog profile. He co-founded Adventure Capital, which invests primarily in the developing world, the Daily News reported.
Friends, who were not named, described him in the newspaper as a self-made millionaire who was “extremely intelligent, ambitious, very kind.”
His Medium posts detailing his journey as an entrepreneur describe how he made an early profit with a prank website and moved on to other projects like Gokada, the motorcycle sharing app company, in Lagos, Nigeria.
Gokada, where he was CEO, posted a tweet saying: “We are deeply saddened to inform you of the sudden and tragic loss of our founder and CEO, Fahim Saleh. Fahim was a great leader, inspiration and positive light for all of us.”

Aziz Arman, co-founder of one of the other Saleh companies, said in a LinkedIn post: “I still can’t believe he’s not with us. This person was more than a brother to me. This is the biggest loss.”
