Fortnite update 13.30 PATCH NOTES – Cars, new map location, server downtime, more | Game | Entertainment


UPDATE 2: Fortnite Update 13.30 server downtime has come to an end as the game is back online on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and iOS.

The news was confirmed by Epic Games on Twitter: “The downtime for v13.30 is over. Dive back into the fight.”

The Android update will follow later today as Epic delays the patch for a few more hours.

TO UPDATE: The Fortnite update 13.30 patch notes have been revealed in their entirety, along with one or two exciting new details.

According to Epic Games, the new update will be delayed for Google Play. The Nintendo Switch patch, meanwhile, will be larger than usual.

“The 13.30 client will be delayed for Google Play and we hope it will be available a few hours after the downtime ends. We apologize for the inconvenience,” Epic tweets.

“Please note that the patch size will be larger than usual on Nintendo Switch.”

ORIGINAL: Fortnite developer Epic Games finally released update 13.30 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.

The new Fortnite update is triggered along with the server downtime at 9am BST on July 21.

Epic Games announced the news on Twitter, along with a great hint on what to expect from the new update.

“The Sea-son continues with another wave of Summer Splash LTM and more,” reads an epic post.

“v13.30 arrives tomorrow, July 21. This time, the downtime will start at 4 AM ET (08:00 UTC).”

This was followed by another post confirming that downtime started early.

“We are starting to disable services in preparation for version 13.30. If you are currently in a session, you can continue playing until idle time begins at approximately 4 AM ET (08:00 UTC).”

According to the Fortnite update 13.30 patch notes, the new version adds Cars to the game, as well as a new location on the map, complete with a new challenge.

Fortnite 13.30 update notes …

• Summer Splash LTMs

– Another wave of LTM enters the Summer Splash rotation this week, including Payback !, Catch !, and One Shot.

• The son of the sea evolves

– As water levels drop, familiar locations are revealed and something new (and a new challenge) emerges

• Gather the band again: teamwork required

– We have added new recommended challenges for group play: join your favorite teammates and clean up. Anyone in your squad can contribute. Show us that they are too easy, we will increase the difficulty.

• Build-A-Brella

– The final challenge for Build-A-Brella is available this week. Ensure your perfect style.

• Updated Mobile HUD Design Tool

– Check the new changes by accessing the HUD design tool through the menu.

• Aquaman

– In case you missed it: All Aquaman Challenges are now available, which means that all of his rewards, including his Arthur Curry Bonus Outfit outfit, can now be unlocked.

• Where is my car?

– No Sweat is investigating automatic coverage. Until then, many of the island’s vehicles have been recalled.

Needless to say, the new Fortnite update also performs a number of major bug fixes and gameplay tweaks.

• Supply deliveries at The Authority do not open when registered.

– Supply Drops in The Authority sometimes don’t open after players search for them.

• Floating rings not visible on platforms with lower settings.

– The weekly challenge “Collect floating rings in the steam stacks” has been replaced by the challenge “Search for ammo boxes in The Fortilla”.

• Black rectangles that appear behind the player when they turn around in the storm.

– Black rectangles may appear behind the player character when he turns around in the storm.

• The glide does not work properly around the Authority.

– All forms of gliding, including deploying from a launch pad or Jules’ Glider Gun, may not function properly when close to the Authority. The slide can stop when you are near The Authority or not start.

Fortnite Mobile and Save the World patch notes …

• The names of the players are cut in the voice chat tab of the social menu

– Players will have difficulty identifying and observing players in their group.

• Ammunition is consumed when a weapon is dropped and collected.

– We believe this issue will be resolved in update v13.00. We have seen reports that this is still happening, and we are diving again to investigate.
