Florida today reported 9,000 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours. As you can see from the chart, this is a massive increase and brings the total number of cases to 122,960. In response, the Secretary of the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation announced that bars will no longer be allowed to serve alcohol.

By the numbers: The record broke this week’s Florida single-day record at 5,511. Deaths in Florida increased 1.2% to 3,366, according to the report.
- Total hospitalizations in Florida increased 1.5% to 13,987.
- More than 1.77 million people in Florida have been evaluated so far.
- The median age of new cases is for people between the ages of 30 and 30.
