Season 5 of Rick and Morty It already looks like she’ll have near-death antics and perhaps a real shot at loving Morty. The first images from season five of Rick and Morty show this along with other details from the show’s co-creator. Dan Harmon debuted on Friday as part of the Adult Swim event held on Twitch.
Although technically not part of Comic-Con @ Home, the panel was timed with the virtual replacement in progress for San Diego Comic Con 2020.
The new video shows Morty carrying an injured Rick (whose injuries we don’t know yet), an escape through a portal, a possible forced landing, and Morty confessing his feelings to his lover Jessica.
Look to the end of the clip to see Rick’s nemesis, an underwater Aquaman character who is obsessed with people who know his name.
On another note, Harmon also mentioned that, for the first time in the show’s history, the new season is well underway.
“We’ve basically finished writing it; the one exception is that I get on these Zoom editing sessions where we’re wrapping up the end of Season 5,” Harmon explained. “It’s a crazy situation because this show has notoriously kept everyone behind.”
Season 4 ended in MayHowever, the release date for Rick and Morty season 5 has yet to be announced.
