The first official live-action PS5 trailer has arrived, designed to “showcase some of the exciting gameplay you’ll experience on the new console.”
Launched in a new post on the PlayStation blog, Global Marketing vice president at Sony Mary Yee described the commercial as the “first global spot for PlayStation” and the PS5, and described “the features of the new console come to life through the eyes of a young woman and her movements. “

Unfortunately, there is no real gameplay, but the very existence of the trailer suggests a major media outbreak for the PS5 is not too far away, especially with the console still planned to launch this Holiday 2020, besides of Xbox Series X.
The new blog post also quotes a number of first- and third-party PS5 developers, from Horizon: Forbidden West’s Guerrilla Games to Spider-Man PS5’s Insomniac, and explains how the new hardware technology allows them to have more immersive experiences make.
Rumor has it that a digital PS5 event is ‘tentatively planned’ for later this month, and the arrival of today’s trailer certainly suggests that Sony has another marketing spree cooking for the console in the run-up to its release .
