Fire for a cameo in Boston News anchor Adam Sandler’s ‘Hubby Halloween’ – Deadline


Boston news anchor Alina Pinto has been fired by station WHDH for appearing in Adam Sandler’s new Netflix Halloween movie. Hubby Halloween.

Pinto tweeted on Thursday, “I was let go of 7 News earlier this week. “I am posting this because I want to be open and honest with all of you. Last year I saw the recently released Netflix movie by Adam Sandler, ‘Hubby Halloween.’ Participated in cameos in. The film hit the streamer on October 7.

The appearance was a violation of Pinto’s agreement, which he said he “violated by mistake.”

“I’m very disappointed and sad and I hope things don’t go this way,” Pinto wrote. “Thanks to all my wonderful 7 News viewers and my support and great colleagues at the station.”

The film centers on Salem, Massachusetts on October 31st. Sandler, Town Fantastic, finds himself in the midst of a real investigation, for a real killer.

Pinto played the news anchor for the fictional Boston TV station, Channel 4 Morning News, and his morning show, “Wake Up, Boston.” Led. Cameo saw Pinto wearing a DC Com mix character Harley Quinn talking about Salem Halloween festivities.

Prior to joining WHDH, Pinto worked at Fox Local 44 and ABC Local 22 in Burlington, Vermont.
