The iHeartRadio Music Festival 2020 is officially an opportunity. On Tuesday (July 21), iHeartMedia announced that the tenth annual iteration of the event will take place virtually this fall.
Stage-ready artists include BTS, Coldplay, Kane Brown, Khalid, and more.
Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the festival will be recorded live from locations in Los Angeles and Nashville with behind-the-scenes moments on how the current coronavirus pandemic has impacted the music industry on a personal level for artists.
“It is hard to believe that this September will be the 10th iHeartRadio Music Festival,” iHeartMedia programming director Tom Poleman said in a statement. “Festival 2011 was the first national iHeart event and became the model for our successful iHeart series – branded music events broadcast and broadcast across the country on radio, television and online. More than 200 superstar artists have performed our largest iHeartRadio Music Festival in the world, and this year’s lineup, even amid a global pandemic, will be one of the history books. “
Miley Cyrus, Migos, Thomas Rhett, Usher and more are also set to participate in the festival’s virtual lineup, and fans will have the opportunity to participate in virtual encounters and greetings with their favorite artists during the show.
The iHeartRadio Music Festival 2020 will air on September 27 and 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET on The CW and iHeartRadio stations across the country.
